“无言独上西楼,月如钩,寂寞梧桐深院锁清秋。”《相见欢》 李煜

I climb a tower alone in silence

under the moon slice.

Empty gardens, lonely platanus,

here my autumn freezes.

“雾失楼台,月迷津渡。”

《踏莎行-郴州旅舍》秦观

Evening mist fell, towers disappeared in the fog.

Moonlight flooded in, ferry was hidden by haze.

by Qin Guan (simplified Chinese: 秦观; traditional Chinese: 秦觀; 1049 – c. 1100) was a Chinese writer and poet of the Song Dynasty. )

I am a big fan of Chinese traditional poetry. Always read them, once I have time. My English is just okay, but I would like to translate some parts of my favorite poems based on my own understanding and experiences.

Those poetries always have a subtle influence on my paintings. Therefore, I decided to post them along with my daily painting journal, although they are not directly one-to-one matched.

Comments welcome, whether you like them or not. 🙂
